The new Video Center, created in conjunction with technology partner Brightcove, brings together the popular Shock and Awe video gallery and Military.com video features in one place allowing visitors a larger selection of videos to watch and add to.
The improved video center features enhanced search functions and an improved commenting feature. In addition, the new and improved site will give users the ability to rate videos, mark them with a "like" or "unlike" tag and share via social media such as Facebook and Twitter.
Users can access the most popular videos, and 30 additional categories have been added with over 100 new subcategories. With improved organization users can now browse through special selections such as 'Editor's Picks', be shown related videos, and can locate specific videos by keyword.
President of Military.com, T. McCreary said, "Video is more than entertainment for our users. It is a way to communicate and share experiences. We're improving our video center in order to better serve our audience of service members."
