OREM, Utah -- In an effort to recognize and aid the members of the U.S. Armed Forces who are actively involved in the war effort and Katrina relief, bandsforfreedom.com and Military.com today announced their co-sponsorship of an upcoming contest offering members of the military and/or their spouses a chance to win a trip to Los Angeles to see and meet country music star Brad Paisley.

The winner of the contest will receive two round trip tickets to Los Angeles, a two-night complementary stay at either the Sheraton Universal or Universal City Hilton Hotel, and two tickets to Brad Paisley's upcoming "Time Well Wasted" concert featuring Sara Evans, and Sugarland. Also, the winner will be given a special opportunity to meet Brad Paisley and his band backstage and spend a few moments with one of the hottest country music acts touring this summer. To enroll in the contest, eligible members of the military and their spouses should visit Military.com to submit an on-line entry. The contest is scheduled to begin on September 5th and will run through September 21st.

The contest, and Brad Paisley's willingness to lend his support, underscores the recent outpouring of assistance that bandsforfreedom.com has received from the country music community. In recent weeks, major country acts such as Trace Adkins, Sugarland, Leann Rimes, Julie Roberts, and Sawyer Brown have all donned the red, white, blue, and camouflage wristbands to show their support of the troops, and are urging their fans to do the same by distributing the wristbands at their concerts and appearances. They now join fellow country music superstars such as Rascal Flatts, Darryl Worley, Chely Wright, Mark Wills, Charlie Daniels, Willie Nelson and several others that publicly support the efforts and mission of bandsforfreedom.com. Commenting on the contest, bandsforfreedom.com Executive Director Andy Chudd stated: "Bandsforfreedom.com and Military.com are truly indebted to Brad for offering this wonderful opportunity to a member of the military and/or their spouse. Brad's song `Mud On The Tires' is a favorite of the troops, who identify strongly with the themes and messages of his music. What could be a better reward than hearing his hits in person, and then meeting him and the band backstage!"

The contest featuring Brad Paisley highlights a very busy summer for bandsforfreedom.com. In addition to the contest, bandsdforfreedom.com is also proud to be a sponsor of the upcoming Stars for Stripes "Price is Wright" Tour. The tour, featuring country superstar Chely Wright, "CBS This Morning" weatherman Dave Price, and "The Contender" fan favorite Joey Gilbert, is scheduled for stops in several Southwest Asia locations to entertain and spend time with the troops. In addition, bandsforfreedom.com Spokesperson Joey Gilbert will be presenting the latest check for $25,000 to Vince Patton Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard (ret.) representing Military.com and the Armed Forces Relief Trust during a special segment of Fox News Channel's "At Large with Geraldo Rivera" airing on Sunday, September 11th, at 10:00 p.m. EST.

About BandsForFreedom.com and the Bands For Freedom Foundation, Inc.

Formed in December 2004, bandsforfreedom.com and the Bands For Freedom Foundation, Inc. were created to educate the public as to the special needs of our military personnel and their families, and to raise money to meet those needs.
