Military.com to fund online content development

Washington, DC - Military.com and the USO today announced a strategic partnership to support the military worldwide. Under the agreement, Military.com becomes an official sponsor of the USO and will fund development and maintenance of the USO website.

"We are honored to partner with an organization that has cared so much for men and women in uniform for nearly 60 years. We share a commitment to keep our Armed Forces connected no matter where they are in the world," said Christopher Michel, CEO of Military.com and a naval reserve flight officer.

Military.com is the online home of the military community, offering content, resources and services to everyone who has answered the call to serve and the families who support them. Military.com will have a presence at USO Centers worldwide, the USO website, "USO Comedy Break" tours, and USO galas and other high-profile events.

"The partnership with Military.com allows us to maintain the pace of our growth on the Internet and stay current with technology. Our Internet presence is a key component of the USO's ongoing mission to 'Deliver America' to service members around the globe, and to better connect our military personnel with the American people they have sworn to defend," said General John H. Tilelli, President and CEO of the USO. "We are the only civilian organization whose sole purpose is to boost the morale and welfare of our service members - we're doing it for the young men and women overseas."
