Inks Deals With Washingtonpost.Newsweek Interactive and Three Financial Services Companies; Emerges as the Largest Online Military Destination with 1 Million Monthly Unique Visitors

SAN FRANCISCO and WASHINGTON - Military.com announced today it added five new strategic partners and logged 964,000 unique visitors in August -- more than five times the volume of any other online military offering (source: PCDataOnline).

As part of a growing strategic relationship, Military.com entered into agreements with Washingtonpost.Newsweek Interactive and Comprint Military Publications, both owned by The Washington Post Company.

The company also signed strategic partnerships with three financial services groups: Armed Forces Benefit Association (AFBA), Pentagon Federal Credit Union and Bankrate.com.

"These partnerships follow on the heels of a strategic investment by A&E Television Networks and support our plans to supply a broad range of high-quality products and services," said CEO Christopher Michel. "Our commanding lead in the market can be traced to our understanding of active duty and veteran audiences and to our alliances with best-of-breed partners."

Agreements with Washingtonpost.Newsweek Interactive and Comprint Military Publications
Military.com provides Washingtonpost.Newsweek Interactive and Comprint Military Publications with Internet applications such as the Personnel Locator and Definitive Military Search capabilities. In exchange, Military.com receives content from Comprint's base guides and extensive network of base newspapers. This content supplements Military.com's original daily news offering and will be featured in Military.com's 500,000-circulation weekly newsletter -- the largest e-mail newsletter for the military market.

New Financial Services Agreements
In partnership with AFBA, Pentagon Federal Credit Union and Bankrate.com, Military.com will offer a suite of offerings, including low-cost insurance, loans and investment services. Military.com also features tools and information for making informed choices on money matters.

"The partnerships announced today are the beginning of a series of powerful alliances to provide members of the military community with solutions that meet their needs," said Michel.
