Davy Leghorn, assistant director of The American Legion's National Veterans Employment and Education Division, recently presented testimony on behalf of the Legion to a hearing of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Veterans' Affairs Subcommittee on Economic Opportunity. The subcommittee convened to discuss the federal government's Transition Assistance Program (TAP). The American Legion offered numerous suggestions to improve the process including putting more emphasis on behaviors and etiquette that make an individual employable.
