Military.com gets first ever online news pentagon press pass

Washington, DC - A bit of history was made March 27th when Stephen Trimble, a reporter for Military.com, received the first Pentagon press pass issued to a pure dotcom company. Trimble, formerly a reporter with Federal Times, covers military and veterans' issues and events for Military.com.

"Of the more than 1,500 Pentagon press passes in effect at the moment, many are held by traditional media organizations who also have a web presence. Our research shows Mr. Trimble's is the first press pass for a pure dotcom," said Navy Capt. Tim Taylor, Director of Defense Information.

"Military.com is committed to becoming the premier online provider of military news and original content. We are building a world-class team of reporters to cover military topics both in Washington, DC and nationwide," said Military.com Managing Editor Bradley Peniston.
