Transitioning military members can use Small Business Administration loans called the "Patriot Express" program to secure money for a business. Terry Howell, author of "The Military Advantage," says VetFran -- a partnership of companies providing financial incentives, education and support to veterans interested in franchise ownership -- offers those members guidance and counseling for starting a new business.
