Things are getting serious for military spouse Jurnee on American Idol. She makes the cut this week as ten performers have gone home and we're down to the Top 14.

Jurnee is an 18-year-old hostess from Denver, CO whose wife Ashley serves in the U.S. Army. The Top 24 is all about singing, so we didn't get any more biographical background this week. Sunday night, Jurnee performed Jesse J's song "Flashlight.

Last night, she performed a duet with Lea Michele on Michele's song "Run to You."

Judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie obviously think Jurnee has the vocal chops to win it but they're encouraging her to develop some better performance skills. She's a kid learning to be a star on national TV and she's got a spouse who's either about to deploy or just deployed. How she handles the pressure will be one of the most interesting stories on "Idol" this year.
