China just keeps getting better at making 80s-style action pictures. Wolf Warrior 2, the latest from action writer/director/star Wu Jing opens in theaters today. We've got a clip from the film.
It's a sequel to the 2015 hit, but you don't need to see the first one to enjoy Wolf Warrior 2. China's deadliest Special Forces operative (a/k/a the "Wolf Warrior") has settled into a quiet life on the sea, but his peace is interrupted when he encounters a gang of mercenaries who are terrorizing the civilian population. Just when he thought he was out, they pull him back in!
Frank Grillo (Brock Rumlow/Crossbones in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War) plays the mercenary leader and Wu Jing also choreographs the action scenes, showing promise as a worthy heir to Jackie Chan. Check out the full trailer below.
