Heather Goffrier at the Happy Fit Navy Wife blog has the story of Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams' response to "Sea Wars: The Ike Awakens," the viral tribute video made by the crew of the U.S.S. Eisenhower.

Abrams sent 5,000 Force Awakens New Era caps (enough for the ship's entire crew!) along with a handwritten personal note thanking everyone for their service and their "mad filmmaking skills."
