Lifeworks makes a full line of computer and phone accessories: cases, covers, backup batteries, laptop sleeves, cables and bags. Aiming for an outdoors/military audience, they've created a camo design they're using for a shoulder bag, backpack, 13" laptop sleeve and go bag. We took a close look at the shoulder bag.

Granted, the camo pattern is reminiscent of the one GI Joe used back in the '70s and it'll probably clash with whatever official-issue pattern you're supposed to wear. But it's more fun that a lot of the allegedly professional hunting patters offered up by Mossy Oak or Real Tree. Lifeworks calls the bag design "future-retro," whatever that means.

The bag will hold up to a 16" laptop and has a separate compartment if you're also trying to lug around a tablet. There's also plenty of space in that pocket for a binder or power cords. There are two rows of seven loops on the front pocket that can hold pens or anything else with a clip.

There's a water bottle pocket on one side of the bag and a padded pocket that will hold an iPhone 6 or Samsung Galaxy on the other. There are organizing slots in the front pocket and a top pocket that works for sunglasses or a phone.

The padded back panel has openings at the top and bottom that will allow you to slide the bag over the handle of most roller suitcases. There's also a zippered pouch on the back that Lifeworks calls a "stash pocket" that's designed to "hide in plain sight."

The bag retails for $59.99 and should be available at Meijer stores. At that price point, it's not designed to last a lifetime, but it's made of good quality nylon with sturdy "military" zippers and neoprene padded handles, so you should get some good use out of it for a few years.
