The latest film in the Fast & the Furious street racing saga has a final title: Furious 7 and an April 3rd release date next spring. A new trailer debuted over the weekend and it looks like the series is getting back to the eye-popping stunts that made Fast Five so good and dialing down the overwrought plot elements that were such a drag in Fast & Furious 6.
This time we get cars with special parachute rigs jumping out of airplanes and an incredible bus-falling-off-a-cliff rescue of the late Paul Walker's Brian O'Conner character. Saw and The Conjuring director James Wan takes over the series here and the producers obviously aren't afraid of an audience letdown when they're giving away such spectacular footage before the movie even opens.
What they're not giving away is the fate of Walker's character in his final film. The trailer doesn't really let one if Brian O'Conner walks away unscathed or if his character dies at the end. We do get a good look at the new bad guys, played by Jason Statham and Kurt Russell. Check out the new trailer below.
