If you've got a box of old game cartridges in the attic and a bunch of kids who just can't understand how awesome games were back when you were a kid, the new Super Retro Trio console could be just what you're looking for.

Manufactured by Retro-bit and available to purchase next month, the Trio is an adapter box that allows you to play NES, SNES and SEGA GENESIS cartridge games without having to find a working version of those old game consoles.

An advance model of the console was on display at last month's E3 convention in Los Angeles and attendees were given a chance to play the NES classic Super Mario Bros. from an original cartridge plugged into the new system. In spite of my own extreme rust, the game seemed to play exactly like it did for me back in the late '80s.

You can also buy the game with an adapter that will let you play GameBoy Advance games with the system. The console will retail for $69.99 and you can have the bundle with GBA adapter for $20 more.
