The Westboro "Baptist" Church may be best known around here for their inexcusable behavior at military funerals, but they've never limited their hate and craziness to just grieving families. Last weekend, they took their attention-seeking caravan to a Foo Fighters concert in Kansas City.

Dave Grohl & company decided to stand right up to the hecklers and donned hillbilly attire for a live street performance of "Keepin It Clean," the satirical, pro-gay-rights country song that had pissed off Westboro in the first place. Grohl taunted the marchers, proclaiming "I don't care if you're black or white or purple or green, whether you're Pennsylvanian or Transylvanian, Lady Gaga or Lady Antebellum, it takes all kinds! Men loving women, and women loving men, and men loving men, and women loving women … God bless America!"

Since this week is the 20th anniversary of Nevermind, it's worth noting that Grohl's decision to confront Westboro is exactly that the sort of thing Kurt Cobain would've done himself. Nice move, Foos.
