L.A. Noire has finally arrived for the Xbox 360 & PS3. The game is set in 1947, during an era when the LAPD was struggling to establish control over the crime-ridden city. The player assumes the role of officer Cole Phelps and the game tracks his rise through the force. Heavily influenced by the film noir detective films of the 50s and James Ellroy's novel (and later film), L.A. Confidential, the game aims to introduce new plot elements into console gaming.
