Dating Mission to be Accomplished

Diana,

I am currently signed on to the Infantry in the Army and I am shipping out to Basic Training this March. I'm 22. My relationship problem is that I've never been in a relationship. I've never even had a first kiss. I've always been a little shy, and I always looked young for my age (in November the recruiter asked me what high school I was attending... I had just graduated from college). I'm starting to think that at my age to even consider that at some point in the future I'll be in a happy relationship is a rather foolish thing to do. I try to stay upbeat but I know deep down that I'm only deluding myself. Not everyone has a happy ending. How do I improve my chances of ending this 22-year streak of loneliness?  Thanks, Diana.
