NPR has been poking around the National Archives and uncovered this film called "Effects of Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD) on Troops Marching. " Made in 1958 for the US Chemical and Biological Warfare Program, it looks a lot like those Haight Ashbury Summer of Love documentaries from 1967, minus the beards and topless girls.
