Since no one much liked the Coen Brothers' remake of The Ladykillers with Tom Hanks, their decision to remake the John Wayne classic True Grit (with Jeff Bridges as Rooster Cogburn) didn't seem like a very good idea.
That notion looks very wrong now that the new trailer for their remake makes it look more like a companion piece for their Best Picture No Country for Old Men.
