July Commissary Remote Location Sales

FacebookXPinterestEmailEmailEmailShare

Shopping at the commissary is an important part of your military benefits, especially if you live somewhere where food is expensive or American products are not available.  However, not every eligible commissary patron lives near a commissary store.  This might include reservists, National Guard, retirees, or active duty members stationed remotely, and all of their eligible family members.  To bring the commissary benefit to some of these customers, the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) sponsors special commissary sales at locations that don't have a bricks-and-mortar commissary store.  DeCA calls them Guard and Reserve Sales because they are typically held in or on National Guard or Reserve facilities.  I like to call them remote location sales because I think that is a good description of their location and doesn't accidentally imply that they are only for National Guard or Reserve-affiliated folks.

For each listing below, the hyperlink takes you to the store information for the commissary store that is coordinating the sale.  Be sure to call them to confirm dates and get specific times and the exact location.  It's also good just to confirm that it is going to happen; you never know with these slightly complicated projects.

Sometimes locations are added to the list a little later than you might expect, so be sure to check back to keep track of the sales coming near you.

These sales can be a good way to stock up on commissary products and prices without having to travel hours to a base with a commissary.  It's probably worth checking out if a sale comes near you!
