14 August 2015 Military Pay

Because the 15th of August falls on a Saturday this year, the next regular, active duty payday is Friday, 14 August 2015.  When will you get paid?  That depends on several factors, including the early direct deposit benefits offered by some banks.

For most military members, their pay will be deposited at some time on Friday, 14 August 2015.  You may receive your pay deposit earlier if your bank or credit union offers an early direct deposit program.

**Longer Pay Period Alert:  because the next payday doesn't occur until 1 September 2015, there will be 18 days before you get paid again.  Please plan accordingly so that you don't find yourself short at the end of the month.**

One Business Day Early

The most common early direct deposit offer has the active duty pay deposited one business day early.  Two major military financial institutions that offer deposits one business day early include USAA and PMCU.  Because there are no weekends or holidays to consider, one business day early for this payday will be  Thursday, 13 August 2015.

Two Business Days Early

The only institution that I know offers to deposit military pay two business days early is Service Credit Union.  For this payday, two business days early means that Service Credit Union members will have their active duty pay deposited on Wednesday, 12 August 2015.

Navy Federal Credit Union

Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU) has two different deposit days depending on what type of checking account you use for your active duty military pay deposits.

Navy Federal Credit Union offers early direct deposit only for members who use an Active Duty checking account for their military pay.  Members who have their military pay deposited into an Active Duty checking account will have their pay deposited on Thursday, 13 August 2015.

Navy Federal Credit Union members who use any other type of checking account will have their military pay deposited on Friday, 14 August 2015.

Not using an Active Duty checking account?  It is quick and easy to change account types.  You can do it online, at a branch location, or on the telephone.  Active Duty Checking offers other benefits, such as ATM rebates, which make it a great choice for eligible customers.
