We get a lot of questions about how to change the address that is on file with the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS).  It is important that you keep your address up-to-date.  It will make things a lot easier if you need to get a replacement document, or make any other changes to your account.

Change Your Address With myPay

myPay is the Defense Accounting & Finance (DFAS) website where active duty, guard, retirees, and dependents (except Coast Guard who use the service's Pay and Personnel Center [PPC] website) can update their address as well as do almost anything pay related.

Check out what you can do with myPay.

To change your address, go to the the myPay website and:

1. After logging in, find the Correspondence Address link on the Main Menu
2. Enter the correct address
3. Save your changes and close the screen or use the link at the top of the page in the gray bar to return to the main menu
4. Your account will be updated in three to seven business days

Changing Your Address Over the Phone or By Mail

As always, it is easier and faster to use the internet to take care of things, but there are times when that isn't possible. You can call DFAS at 800-321-1080 or PPC at 866-772-8724 or use postal mail to contact them at:
