13 February 2015 Military Pay

FacebookXPinterestEmailEmailEmailShare

Have I mentioned how much I like Friday paydays?  They are so much simpler than some other days!  The next regular, active duty military payday is Friday, 13 February 2015.  Actual date of deposit will depend on the policies and practices of your bank or credit union.

One Business Day Early

Many financial institutions offer their customers the benefit of depositing their military pay one business day prior to the actual payday.  This is a great way to convince customers to move to a new bank!  Both  USAA and  Pacific Marine Credit Union (PMCU) offer this benefit, as well as some other institutions.  The business day prior to this payday is Thursday, 12 February 2015, and that is when USAA, PMCU, and other one day early customers will have their pay deposited.
 Navy Federal Credit Union
Navy Federal deposits on two different days, depending on  what type of checking account you use.   Active Duty Checking customers receive early direct deposit, all other checking account types have their pay deposited on the regular pay day.

Members using an Active Duty Checking account may see their pay listed as pending on Wednesday, 11 February 2015, to be posted overnight and available for use on  Thursday, 12 February 2015.

Members using any other type of checking account may see their pay listed as pending on Thursday, 12 January 2015, to be posted overnight and available for use on  Friday, 13 February 2015.

Service Credit Union

Service Credit Union offers direct deposit two business days prior to the regular military payday.    For the next payday, Service Credit Union members should expect to have their active duty military pay available on Wednesday, 12 February 2015.  Note that this is not guaranteed!

While you are enjoying these regularly-spaced, simple paydays, be sure to set a little bit aside for the times when those pay periods come a little further apart.  They're coming.
