Military Spouse Fellowship Applications Open

The National Military Family Association (NMFA), together with the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education (AFCPE) has announced the opening of applications for the 2011 FINRA Foundation Military Spouse Accredited Financial Counselor Fellowship.  This fellowship program provides funding for 200 military spouses to pursue an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC) designation.

The AFC designation assists military spouses in developing rewarding, portable careers in financial counseling.  The program has two courses, two examinations, and requires 1000 hours of experience before you can be awarded the AFC designation.  The coursework is done online and at home - perfect for military spouses!

The application itself is fairy easy.  Competition is tough, as they always have many more applicants than slots.

If you have been considering pursuing a career in financial counseling and education, this is a great opportunity for you.  Please apply!
