2010 Holiday Mailing Deadlines

FacebookXPinterestEmailEmailEmailShare

The holiday season is going to be here remarkably soon, and it is definitely time to be thinking about mailing those packages overseas.

There are several options for mailing packages, and you will save more money if you mail earlier.  Please be sure to keep in mind that these dates are not guaranteed!

The slowest choice, Parcel Post packages should be mailed by November 12th for delivery by December 25th.

The next option, Space Available Mail (SAM), should be mailed by November 26th for regular APO/FPO address, November 2oth for APO/FPO/DPO zip codes that begin with 093.

Parcel Airlift Mail (PAL) should be mailed by December 3rd for regular APO/FPO address, December 1st for 093 zip codes.

Priority mail packages and First Class cards and letters should be mailed by December 10th, December 4th for 093 zip codes.

Express mail, for locations that can be serviced, must be mailed by December 18th.

Hanukkah is very early this year, beginning on December 1st, so you must subtract 24 days from each of these deadlines if you are sending for Hanukkah.

I can't believe it is time to start thinking about holiday cards and packages again, but clearly it is time to get working.
