Porsche's end of year sales celebration might be a mixed bag this year. The German brand set new records for sales in the US, of both new models and of certified pre-owned vehicles. But the best-selling Porsche, with its own best year ever, no less, goes out of production long before 2026 runs out. The odds of a repeat performance this year aren't great.

Macan Bacon: Macan Is The Best-Seller Again

The highest-selling Porsche in the US in 2025 was the Macan crossover. With EV and gas models combined, Porsche dealers moved 27,139. That's up from 25,180 in 2024, and sales were strong all year long.

Though it said demand for both gas and electric Macans was strong, Porsche didn't break out the two specifically for the US for the full year. It did post a breakdown for the first quarter of 2025, and at that time 44.6% of sales were Macan EVs. Despite that volume, company officials have said that they "misjudged" EV demand."

Depending on when Porsche ends production of the gas model, that could put a serious dent in the 2026 figures. The total could be impacted even harder by the late-year removal of federal EV incentives in 2025. A new gas-powered Macan will arrive eventually, but it was never in the plan, and Porsche is scrambling to make it happen ASAP. Still, it's likely a few years out.

Porsche's number two in the US was the Cayenne SUV. It saw sales down from 22,432 to 20,314. The automaker expects the new electric Cayenne to go on sale this year, though we won't speculate on what the overall impact will be. The combustion model will live alongside it, though, with no plans to sunset the combustion SUV anytime soon.

One model we will speculate on is the new 911 Turbo S. The return of that rocketship to the lineup will no-doubt drive sales of the sports car. It will also help raise transaction prices. In 2025, Porsche sold 13,574 911 sports cars, down just slightly from 14,128 in 2024.

Taycan sales fell on the year as well. The numbers were close, and Porsche was showing signs that its first fully-electric model would have a gain. But like nearly every other EV on the market, sales fell in Q4, dropping from 1,353 in 2024 to 506 in 2025. The total for the year was 4,142, so it just missed out on outselling the Panamera, which climbed from 3,982 to 4,651.

Lastly, the final year for the 718 Boxster and Cayman was also a good one. Together, they sold 6,399, up from 5,698 in 2024.
