Spicer Shock: Sean Survives and Advances on 'Dancing With the Stars'

Sean Spicer's salsa dance last week on "Dancing With the Stars" earned a miserable 12/30 score from the judges, and many show watchers had him pegged as the first dancer to be cut this season. Not so!

The Navy reservist celebrated his 48th birthday with a considerably improved performance alongside his professional partner, Lindsay Arnold. Their tango earned a 16/30 from the judges. When the two week's scores were combined with audiences votes, Spicer wasn't even in the bottom three this week.

Spicer and Arnold's tango was performed to Walk the Moon's hit song "Shut Up and Dance."

Sean's decided to go all in and embrace the competition. He's set up a website (SpicerArnold.com) to promote his team, and they've embraced the hashtag #TeamSweetNSpicey. They're selling stickers, buttons, hats and T-shirts on their website. They've even made an old-fashioned campaign video to support their chances.

This week's bottom two were NFL legend (and destroyer of Atlanta nightlife) Ray Lewis and music legend Mary Wilson of '60s Motown supergroup The Supremes. Somehow, the judges decided to spare Lewis and sent home one of the rare "DWTS" performers who actually trained and made a living incorporating dance into their careers.

Sean's still here and seems committed to staying. Let's close with some vintage singing and dancing from the Supremes as we puzzle over Mary's early departure from the competition.
