Virtual Career Fair Gives Vets Online Access to Employers

While speaking to group of college counselors about veteran employment opportunities I mentioned that Military.com and the Non-Commissioned Officers Association co-sponsor local career-expos in cities with high concentrations of military veterans. One of the counselors pointed out that these career fairs are great, if you happen to live within driving distance, but, many veterans live hundreds of miles from the nearest big city.

Thankfully Military.com and Monster.com recently developed a way to overcome that hurdle -- a Veterans Virtual Career fair.

The first virtual career fair is taking place right now -- November 14-18.

The virtual career fair can help veterans connect with prospective employers right from their computer. As long as you have Internet access, you can participate.

For more details and free registration, visit www.veteransvirtualcareerfair.com.

If you happen to be looking for a more traditional veteran focused career fair in your area, you can check out the Military.com Career-Expo page.
