The 100 Cities/100 Memorials fund-matching program is an initiative of the World War I Centennial Commission and the Pritzker Military Museum & Library that encourages groups across the country to take on the projects of restoring and preserving World War I memorials. The commission is encouraging organizations to plan public events for April 6, the date in 1917 that the United States officially entered the war.
