The 2016 Paralympic Games will be held September 7-18 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Department of Veterans Affairs pays a monthly allowance to veterans training for or selected to compete on the U.S. Paralympic Team. The payment rates are based on VA's vocational rehabilitation rates: roughly $600 a month for a single Veteran plus extra for dependents. For more information, visit the VA VAntage Point Blog and visit the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games website. A full list of sport governing bodies and points of contact is available online.
