A proposed change to the post-9/11 G.I. Bill would allow veterans to use their education benefits as startup collateral to start their own businesses. Under the proposed legislation, a veteran could access their GI Bill funding for loan collateral. The program would include methods in which the veteran can receive mentorship and training to help the business succeed.
