Packing your bag for a trip, TRICARE recommends you take the following steps to make your travel as stress-free as possible: (1) check your prescriptions to see if you have enough medicines to cover your whole trip: (2) Update DEERS; (3) take care of any routine, specialty or preventive health care appointments you may need before you travel; (4) pack important phone numbers including the TRICARE Nurse Advice Line (NAL) or call 1-800-TRICARE (874-2273), option 1; and (5) speak with your provider to see if you need any vaccinations.
