The Space-Available Travel program is one of the many Air Force programs available to military personnel, families, retirees and veterans with 100% disability. The program allows members to sign up for free transportation out of Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, that is not taken by the mission essential Airmen and cargo, on a base’s aircraft. Passengers will need two forms of identification when checking into the terminal, which can be their Common Access Card and a driver’s license. For younger children without a CAC, parents should bring a printed out Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System form with the child’s DOD ID number printed on it. For more information, visit the Air Mobility Command website.
