The U.S. Navy is encouraging Sailors to consider becoming a recruit division commander (RDC) for their next shore duty assignment. Benefits is serving as an RDC include special duty assignment pay, an additional annual clothing allowance, an opportunity to earn a master training specialist (MTS) qualification, college credits toward a bachelor's degree, and choice of follow-on coast assignment.
