Over their ten week internship this summer, the Naval Research Enterprise Intern Program (NREIP) provided students a chance to acquire technical expertise and career perspectives at laboratories throughout Department of Defense (DoD). NREIP-interns worked at Navy laboratories and test ranges on programs such as the Aegis combat system, directed energy, and chemical, biological and radiological (CBR) defense. Internships can lead to employment within the Navy laboratory structure. Applications for upcoming 2017 NREIP summer internships can be submitted from Aug. 22 to Nov. 30, 2016 via the program's website. Interns are selected based upon academic achievement, personal statements, and recommendations in addition to career and research interests.
