All veterans in surrounding areas are invited to attend DC's veteran hiring event that will kick off the Mayor's "#DCHiresVets" campaign. The event will enable veterans to apply and interview for positions with the District of Columbia Government, federal agencies and private-sector companies. Veterans can also engage onsite with District and federal agencies and that provide services to veterans. The event will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2017; 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the D.C. Armory, 2001 East Capitol Street, SE, Washington, DC. Attendees are encouraged to bring documentation of military or veterans status, such as your DD-214 Discharge Form, DOD Common Access Card, VA Card, or a letter from an assisted veterans' home indicating status as a veteran.
