On Sept. 21, Navy installations will participate in the second annual Bells Across America for Fallen Servicemembers ceremony to honor those who died while on active duty. The bells rung will not signal anyone's presence; instead they will toll in their absence. Ceremonies are held in association with Gold Star Mother's and Family Day, which is celebrated the last Sunday in September. To learn more about Bells Across America for Fallen Servicemembers ceremonies nearest you, contact your Navy Gold Star Coordinator at 888-509-8759 or follow the Navy Gold Star Program on Facebook, visit their website, or watch the video on YouTube.
