The American Legion and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation will host an all-day Hiring Our Heroes Military Hiring Event for veterans and military spouses in Reno, Nev., on Aug. 22, 2017 at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and it will begin with an employment workshop and a financial literacy workshop. Immediately following, volunteer career coaches will be available to all job seekers. The event will culminate in the afternoon's American Legion's Small Business Resource Fair, which will bring together job seekers and employers. Interested job seekers should pre-register at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation website.
