Honor Flight Columbus in Columbus, Ohio has arranged its first-ever all woman veterans' flight. The organization honors our nation's senior veterans with a trip to Washington, D.C. to visit their war memorials at no cost to them. The flight will tour the WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Iwo Jima, and Air Force memorials in the Washington, DC area. Applications will be considered first based on age, with WWII veterans and Korea veterans getting preference due to their age. For Vietnam veterans, the applications will be considered on a first come, first served basis depending on available space. Applications are available by visiting the Honor Flight Columbus website and selecting Veterans' Applications. The flight is scheduled to depart on Saturday, Sept. 10 from Port Columbus.
