The Air Force is encouraging troops to participate in an online survey on health-related behaviors that is set to conclude Feb. 28. Rand Corp., at the request of the Defense Department, designed the confidential survey, which has taken place roughly every three years since 1980. It's designed to assess lifestyle information and health behaviors of troops as those choices and behaviors impact readiness. Airmen were randomly selected to participate in the survey, and their participation is not disclosed to their chain of command or anyone else in the Defense Department. The survey takes 20 to 25 minutes and can be completed on a home or government computer, or a smartphone or tablet. A summary report with results will be posted to Defense.gov when the survey is complete and the data processed. Read more at the Air Force website.
