Kershaw is offering its latest collaboration with Emerson Knives -- the CQC10K.
The CQC-10K features a 3.5-inch bowie-style blade of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel with a stonewashed finish.
It’s based on the Emerson Appalachian, which retailed for about $250 and currently sold out.
The CQC10K retails at Knifecenter.com for $37.95 which is considerably cheaper than the $60 sticker price.
These Kershaw/Emerson collaborations are made in China rather than the USA, but I have to wonder if design features and the quality-control of these two reputable companies would make it a good bargain.
From the looks of the CQC10K, it has the classic Emerson design features in its ergonomic handle and blade style. It features a G-10 front scale with a stainless steel back and sturdy frame lock.
