WATCH: Marine Corps Touts New Version of Marksmanship Trainer

The Marine Corps showed off its latest version of the Indoor Simulated Marksmanship Trainer, known as the ISMT, at this year's Sea Air Space expo held near Washington, D.C., and organized by the Navy League.

Resembling a shoot-'em-up computer game, the software is designed to train Marines on marksmanship and tactical engagements as a cheaper alternative to live-fire training ranges.

The new version incorporates virtual environments, so Marines or instructors can move from a concealed position to another and challenge a trainee with moving targets.
