Here at Kit Up!, we're gearing up for the upcoming SHOT Show in Las Vegas. Our company, Military.com, will be sending two correspondents to this year's event, which is just a few weeks away.

In addition to the latest assault rifles, pistols and other types of firearms, we'll be checking out noteworthy gear, from scopes to sunglasses.

Along those lines, we hope to swing by the Rudy Project's booth for a demonstration of the company's latest protective lenses. The Italian maker of sunglasses and helmets is out with a new product called the ImpactX 2, which is being billed as a "new generation of unbreakable photochromic lenses."

They're the first to "automatically lighten and darken from a semitransparent tone to a specific color," including red, black or brown, according to a press release from the company. They also activate faster than previous versions and can be folded in half, the release states. We look forward to testing out that flexibility ourselves.

Of course, we'll also be heading over to the Oakley/ESS booth and many others. If you know of any products you'd like us to check out or review, feel free to email your correspondents directly at brendan.mcgarry@military.com and matthew.cox@military.com.

We're looking forward to the show!
