Vertx Apparel and Fighter Design of Austin, Texas, are joining forces to allow Vertx to incorporate Fighter Design's Airflow Technology into their pants.
The two company's signed a design agreement that Vertx Director of Sales Darrell Morrow said will be utilized in Vertx's tactical pants lines.
Vertx plans to unveil the Phantom Ops tactical pant powered by Airflow at SHOT Show next week in Las Vegas. The company said there will be a small number of these pants sold, but they will be available for pre-order.
The airflow technology doesn't come with a lot of bells and whistles. Instead it's strong mesh placed on the in-seam and on the cargo pockets.
Fighter Design's Adam Slank challenged people to try the airflow for themselves.
"Some things need to be experienced," he said.
