High Ground Gear recently unveiled its new HG831 at Modern Day Marine. I spent some time at High Ground's booth, checking out the many features of this new, extremely modular three-day pack. It combines a 3,000 cubic-inch pack with High Ground's existing HG830 load-bearing platform. Here's a video that shows what you get with HG831.

The HG831 will retail for about $460 and should be available soon. It's expensive, but not a bad deal when you consider that the HG830 with quick-release waistbelt -- which is now part of the HG831 system -- costs about $360 by itself.
