Here's your Saturday Afternoon SITREP boys and girls those of you who're Glee fans but won't admit it.

Vertx Pants and others in the industry are at a big show in Italy called EXA 2012. It's an "International Sporting Arms, Security and Outdoor" show. Despite the outcry and clamoring protests of hundreds of smoking hot Italian women, the Mad Duo wasn't able to attend. EXA 2012 is this week in Brescia. Vertx is at Both Co9, a fella they call Mad Max (not our friend Mad Max Mullen, nor the Australian post-apocalyptic ex-cop, different guy). We'd tell you more about it but we don't know much more Italian than Si hanno le gambe grandi, possiamo avere un'altra birra? and of course the much older Italian Illegitimi non carborundum. Check Vertx out on Facebook, rumor has it they've got some cool stuff coming down the road: https://www.facebook.com/wearVERTX.

Author Dalton Fury has a new book coming out. Tier One Wild was just posted on Amazon. "The most wanted man in the world, American al Qaeda commander Daoud al Amriki, and his handpicked team of terrorist operatives, have acquired stores of Russian-built, shoulder-fired surface-to-air missiles (SAM's) from ex-Libyan spies in Cairo. Their mission: infiltrate the United States and take down American aircraft. The country's best are tasked with stopping them. But when a SEAL Team Six mission to take down al Amriki goes wrong, Major Raynor and his Delta Force team find themselves front and center as Amriki and his terrorists work their way closer to America. And time is running out." Check it out on Amazon.

Military Morons advises there are people not affiliated with his site posting opinions and otherwise offering commentary on various message boards and forums as 'militaymoron' or 'militarymorons', which can be problematic if readers are led to believe it's actually him or one of his staffers. He advises that you can e-mail him, militarymorons(at)gmail.com if you'd like to verify if someone is in fact him.

5.11 Tactical is one of the corporate sponsors of the Best Ranger Challenge this year; they and others fielded teams to compete in a one-day condensed "sponsor" edition of Best Ranger. 5.11's team was comprised of Dave Rhoden and Damon Helton. Damon was a Ranger with several combat tours (unsure which Battalion) who works to retain his old skills and recently conquered a chronic problem with personal hygiene. Prior to working as a private contractor in Vulgaria, Dave served as a sadly undertanned honorary Lance Corporal in the Val Verde Marine Corps Reserve. We'll know the results of the 5.11 Tactical and competing teams in the next couple of days and will let you know. We hear there will be some 5.11 gear reviews on Kit Up! very soon.

That's it for now, we're out. Gotta hit the range with Parker and Longbaugh before going to help the single dancing moms make rent.
