My friend and Kit Up reader Kathy sent me a nudge on this the other day but, I have to give it to David Knuth for tracking on this first. David is a great guy and always feeding the Kit Up machine good metal.
I've already reported on my experience with the SIG magazines, but can't argue with the overwhelming support for SIG. Bottom line is that they make fine firearms and have a loyal following. SIG also purchased Blaser rifles a while back, and I'm a big fan of that platform. I'm looking forward to purchasing one of those bad boys soon.
In addition to the admittedly cheesy video, here's a look at the MK25 stats.
From the SIG SAUER Website:
The standard by which all contemporary sidearms are measured, The SIG SAUER® P226® is the pistol that set the standard by which all other combat handguns are measured. The exceptional ergonomics and balance make this fullsize pistol easy to handle. Its longer barrel yields better ballistic performance and accuracy. The P226 MK25 is identical to the pistol carried by the U.S. Navy SEALs-the fleet’s special warfare operators. The railed P226 chambered in 9mm and engraved with an anchor on the left side of the slide is the official (one of the official, HK MK23, and S&W 686 are others) sidearm of the SEALs.
