I ran across this photo of Azizullah, an Afghan police commander in Paktika province who was photographed inspecting a border check point station near Pakistan.
You can tell how much he's bought into the special forces training he's received -- wearing MultiCam (knockoff?) and sporting the full door kicker rig and kit placement. One thing you'll notice is that although he's wearing a plate carrier, there doesn't seem to be a ballistic plate in there.
I remember spending some time with an Iraqi SWAT unit near Tikrit who sported the full-on ballcap and PMAG look. And their AKs were all tricked out like Azizullah's.
One thing's for sure, I'm glad this guy is on our side...
