Check out this clip of Zyvex Technologies' Piranha unmanned Surface Vehicle, (boat would be easier, but hey). The stealthy looking craft is 54' long yet weighs less than 9,000-pounds due to its carbon fiber construction, giving it ten times the range, three times the payload and 75 percent improved fuel efficiency over aluminum vessels of similar size, according to the company. The 8,400-pound boat can steam for 3,000 miles and carry 15,000 pounds of cargo.

The Piranha can be outfitted with everything from ISR gear to perform harbor patrol duties or even weapons allowing it to screen for threats to larger vessels, company rep Lance Criscuolo told us at the Navy League's recent Sea, Air, Space conference held outside Washington.
