Chinese Coast Guard Moves to Help Japan

The Chinese coast guard is conducting its first ever deployment to aid in disaster relief outside Chinese waters, according to the folks over at China Defense Blog.

Apparently, China's Maritime Safety Administration is sending one of it's biggest cutters, the MSA21, to assist with search and rescue efforts. This comes on the heels of China's much discussed deployment of the PLAN to evacuate its citizens from Libya a little while ago.
