20 Nobel laureates are accusing the Bush administration of "deliberately and systematically distorted scientific fact in the service of policy goals on the environment, health, biomedical research and nuclear weaponry," the Times is reporting.The prize-winners, organized by the Union of Concerned Scientists, say in a report that "the scope and scale of the manipulation, suppression and misrepresentation of science by the Bush administration is unprecedented.""We're not taking issue with administration policies. We're taking issue with the administration's distortion ... of the science related to some of its policies," the group's president, Kurt Gottfried, told Fox News.The Union's report is online here.
